1. I have zero sympathy for couples who struggle with infertility. The ability to have children is not a guaranteed right, and I think it is extremely selfish and misguided when I hear about couples allowing themselves to suffer emotionally and financially year after year when there are countless--countless!--children in foster longing for loving families.

4. You know you have a lot of nerve, what gives you the right to say who and who can't have children. I struggled with five miscarriages after i had my first child and come to find out i was not able to carry a boy all the way, i could only carry them up until the second trimester. On my last miscarrage my husband and i said that maybe we weren't ready and it was gods way of telling me. Well after six months of my l;ast miscarrage I finally had what we call our mircle baby. But it was just my body telling me that I wasn't able to carry a little boy. So if i were you I would keep your comments to yourself.

5. What are you thinking????? I am 50 years old and I have had 4 C-Sections and if my son and daughter-in-law ask me to help bring a child into the world I would not think twice. Heaven forbit somebody ask you to help with a miracle. Oh and by the way my son and daughter-in-law and been trying for 8 years now to have another child, fertility and everything available to them.
You are selfish person!

7. So what you are saying is that you have a house full of foster kids and none of your own, whether it's a right or not? Your comment is clearly born of ignorance. Until you've walked that path, or developed some compassion for those who have or currently do, you are clueless. And if God did not intend to give this "right" to infertile couples, why would he have given the knowledge of fertility treatments to the specialists anyway?

8. I cannot believe that someone would think that trying infertility treatments would be so selfish. I am 27 years old and I have had trouble conceiving. I am also in the process of adopting. My husband and I agree that adoption is an excellent choice but we would still love to have a child of our own. Let's all pray for this poor woman who thinks that we're all selfish and let's pray for all those having trouble conceiving their own precious child.

9. Were you able to have a child? Have you tried yet? If you have had children or have yet to try and find out if possible you have no right to tell someone what they can and cannot do. It is your/their decision.
Also maybe these people are being ran off from foster care like my parents were when they thought of fostering after having my sis and I. They were financial stable and caring, great parents. The system told them it was horrible and how children can be taken away, some steal, vandalize and harm their foster parents or family members. I KNOW NOT ALL!!!
I have a child, and want to become a foster parent once my child is old enought to understand the situation even if the system tries to deter me. My husband and I made the decison prior to trying to have a child that if we could not after two years (without fertility, etc.) we would go straight to adoption and/or foster care. Other people are afraid, do not have the financial ability ($20,000 is a low cost adoption that cannot be paid monthly to the medical facility), or do not think they would be able to raise a child that is not their own. It takes a special person to do that and not many are capable. Are you?!? Or are you simply judging others not remembering that you yourself will be judged as well?!?

14. I totally agree. I know people have the right to pay for whatever they desire, but ther are thousands apon thousands in foster homes and abandoned in OUR OWN COUNTRY!! We need to adopt our own children instead of other country's. I should help others, but we can't even help ourselves!

15. Are you kidding me. You must not have children. There is no greater joy in this world than to have a child of your own. If you did have children, then you would understand that as a mother, you would do anything for that child. Including being a surrogate. I totally undersand how you feel about adopting. But the parents who unfortunately had these children obviously had the option of birth control or not having sex and did not use it. I have no sympathy for them.

16. Are you kidding? You must be as ignorant as you sound. Let me guess, you have many children to whom you have birthed naturally? Or your just plain heartless, cold, and very, very oblivious to such heartache. I understand that the foster children need homes too. My heart pours out to them too. It is our right to choose whether or not we want to pour emotional and financial problems on ourselves, with infertility costs and treatments. I don't have that problem, I had 2 daughters naturally. But If I had to turn to infertility and it didn't work for me, then and only then would I consider adopting a foster child. Also, I would have children for my girls if they couldn't conceive!!! You are so negative and one sided-let me guess you have many children from foster care-how are those fat checks lining your pockets? Are those children getting the life you so desperately seem to want to give them? I hope so for your sake!

It is true. There are many children in foster home waiting for a family and indeed, they did take care of one of those children. What about you? Do you have one of those children from foster home?

18. you have a valid point but please remember the hell people go through in this country to adopt american kids and the fact that alot of these kids were from abused homes or moms who were on drugs. those kids come with some serious baggage so folks tend to be hesitant. I am happy for them and the MOM is gonna get serious blessings for such a sacrifice

I am a woman who has not been successful with infertility treatments, and remain childless. I am happy to say I don't suffer from absolute stupidity like you. You have probably been blessed with several children ( baby factory) , you probably don't love and appreciate them as others would. Hope you crawl back under the rock from which you came!
